Comments from the Online Preference Survey
From August 10 - October 29, 2018, an online preference survey tested development scenarios in different locations in each Focus Area. The survey allowed participants to provide open-ended comments for each Focus Area.

Previous Community Events
During the summer and early fall of 2018, project staff hosted a variety of events to solicit input on the project from community members. Brief summaries of these events are provided below.
Charting Our Future - Kickoff & Idea Exchange
On May 10, 2018, project staff and the project consultants from Kimley-Horn hosted a Kickoff & Idea Exchange Meeting at the Franklin Hotel in Downtown Chapel Hill. Community members were invited for an informational open house and brief presentation about the project. Attendees then had the opportunity to provide initial input on the project's priorities through a variety of activities. The input received during those activities can be found on the Resources page.
Show and Tell Sessions
On June 10 and 11, 2018, project staff hosted Show and Tell Sessions at University Place. These sessions gave participants and change to generate and discuss ideas with project staff. The input received during these sessions can be found on the Resources page.
Office Hours at University Place
Throughout the summer until September 28, 2018, project staff held Office Hours at the Police Substation at University Place to provide residents with the opportunity to learn more about Charting Our Future and provide feedback on the project. Staff conducted a drawing for Silverspot Cinema Gift Cards to thank residents for taking the time to learn more about the project.
